Legal Notice

Sale of alcohol to any persons under 18 years of age is illegal and will not be permitted.

The use of this site (www.therealalecompany.co.uk) is by agreement to the following terms and conditions. The terms and conditions apply to register users and guests and are subject change. Any changes will be published on the site. Should any vendor using the site have their own terms and conditions which apply this will be identified within their profile.

The Real Ale Company is a trade name of Hops & More Limited. We are registered as a limited company in England and Wales under company number 7653673. For any enquires please email [email protected].

1. Use of Our Site

i. Use of our site is permitted for the purpose of leisure, shopping and as a source of information.

ii. We reserve the right to restrict access to parts or the whole of the site to registered users, restrictions and content viewable will be depended upon the type of account held with us.

iii. We do our best to ensure all information contained on the site is accurate, should you be aware of anything which isn’t please advise us by email to [email protected].

2. Sales

i. All product content and prices are set by our suppliers. The Real Ale Company acts only as the sales agent.

ii. All prices are inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT).

iii. We accept all major debit and credit cards via our payment system provided by Paypal payments.

3. Delivery

i. The deliver agent depends upon the supplier and the agreement in place between the supplier and Hops & More Ltd who act as the sales agent.

ii. Should delivery not have been made with 20 working days of the order please advise in writing within 25 working days of placing the order to [email protected].

iii. Our suppliers aim to provide all products in good condition, should you be unsatisfied with the condition at the time of delivery please reject it and advise us by email [email protected] quoting your order number in the email title.

v. Buyers of this who are not in the EU (inc UK) act as the importer and may have to declare this to customs. It is your responsibility to ensure that alcohol deliveries are permissible in your country. Should customs refuse your order entry we cannot be held responsible, neither can we be held responsible for any additional customs charges incurred. Rejected product refunds will be provided where the product is returned back to the shipper (Hops & More Ltd or the Supplier who shipped) safely.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

Hops & More Ltd and its vendors are the owners of all copyrights, database rights, trademarks and other intellectual property contained on the site.

Product photography is owned by the individual supplier of that product and they reserve all rights to its use.

You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from our site for your personal reference and you may draw the attention of others to material posted on our site.

9. Limitation of Liability and Force Majeure

i. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence nor for fraudulent misrepresentation.

ii. Subject to clause 9(i) we exclude all liability for consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue and goodwill, loss or damage not anticipated when you agree these terms and conditions.

iii. We are not liable for damage caused by customer mishandling any product ordered from our site or any spillage which may occur. Caution should be taken when opening any product in particular alcoholic products which can be volatile by nature.

iv. Our responsibility to customers is only limited to the amount paid for the products subject to clause 9(i).

v. We are not liable for breach of this Agreement for any loss or liability arising from circumstances of force majeure and other circumstances beyond our reasonable control such as Act of God, Government regulation or order, fire, theft, flood, strike, riot, insurrection, war, national emergency, power shortage, pandemic, terrorist activity.

10. Linking To and from Our Site

i. You may link to our site providing you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not cause harm to our reputation or take advantage of it. You must not link to our site in a way that suggests any form of association on our part where none exists.

ii. Where our site contains links to other sites provided by third parties, these links are provided for your information only. We have no control over the contents of those sites, and accept no responsibility for their content or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.

Whilst Hops & More Ltd makes all reasonable attempts to exclude viruses from this website, such exclusion cannot be ensured and no liability is accepted for viruses, worms, Trojan horses or other items of a destructive nature. Thus, you are recommended to take all appropriate safeguards before downloading information from this website, its operator or its contacts.

12. Governing Law

The Contract between Us shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law.
