The Nook Brewhouse

About

The Nook Brewhouse continues the long standing real ale tradition of The Nook, Holmfirth, introducing its own range of ales specially brewed for the real ale connoisseur!

The Nook (otherwise known as The Rose & Crown) is revered far and wide in the real ale tradition and has earned its place at the heart of Holmfirth’s many festivals and events: The Holmfirth Festival of Folk, The Holmfirth Food & Drink Festival and of course The Nook’s Bi-Annual Beer festival (Fri, Sat, Sun of August Bank Holiday weekend and Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun of the weekend before Easter). All draw many visitors from far and wide to Holmfirth.

The Nook Brewhouse is a bespoke brewery opened in July 2009, designed to make the most of natural, local resources wherever possible; using gravity to aid the brewing process, the warm energy from one brew to heat the next brew, and utilising the cool cellar built deep below the water line of the River Ribble to condition the ales. Therefore the brewery is quite environmentally friendly.
